ADP Jobs Report Suggest Hiring Growth</div > Thursday’s employment report from ADP says the nation added more jobs in August than it has in the last five months. The 201,000 private sector jobs created during August is well above the estimates of analysts who were expecting the number to be closer to about 140,000. SHRM says, “A net of 40.8 percent of manufacturers will add jobs in September,” while “A net of 24.8 percent of service sector companies will add jobs.”Continue reading…

Randstad: U.S. Worker Confidence 10-points Higher than Last Year</div > According to the latest Randstad Employee Confidence Index, employees are overall more confident than this time last year. Compared to August 2011, confidence levels measured more than 10-points higher—indicating a much higher sense of optimism in the job market, the strength of the economy, and in their personal employment situations. The strongest sectors seem to be healthcare, education and professional services.

New Google Algorithm Spells Big Changes for Recruitment Agencies</div > Google has done it again and has turned the SEO world on its head by effectively telling everyone that they are removing the reliance upon keyword dependency in favour of of more natural language detection. Andy Drinkwater, owner of iNet SEO advises people to, “start thinking quality, relevance and intent in everything you do. It’s what your visitors would expect… It’s what Google expects.” Drinkwater continues, “From here on in, it is all about content quality and intent and this is where it needs to spell big changes for recruitment agencies. This is because many agencies need to be found for local phrases based on their town and have previously optimised to this effect.
